LUXURY RESIDENTIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

For the last few years the international luxury real estate market has operated on alternative rules to the rest of the market. Ownership has grown ever more diverse and in turn international designers have been chosen by international clients from pretty much anywhere around the world.

Many of the private houses in this section are owned internationally and all are understandably reticent about their identities. Hence all my photographs of luxury residential properties are described anonymously.

Many of the most luxurious properties I have photographed cannot be shown on my website at all. With those that can be shown I cannot always describe the precise location of the property or the precise circumstances of the photoshoot.

My luxury residential photography falls into various natural categories. I have specific expertise photographing luxury townhouses and apartments in European and North American cities where the supreme quality of the design, rather than the size of the space determine the property’s value.

As certain international cities have experienced a large amount of luxury development new categories of luxury real-estate have arisen.

Originally the top 5% of real estate was considered ‘prime’ in any specific sector.

Now the top 1% of properties are usually referred to as ‘super-prime’ although in London and New York the general ballpark definition of ‘super-prime’ is often simply above the nice round number of 10 million (pounds or dollars respectively.)

However in the last few years a new term has also been coined to cover market transactions above £100 million USD and that is: ‘ultra-prime.’

I have photographed both super-prime and ultra-prime luxury residential projects in cities such as London, New York, Dubai and LA.

I am also experienced in ultra-high-end property photography in noted luxury holiday locations such as the Caribbean, The Maldives, Bali and Queensland, Australia. Here the unique location of the property in conjunction with the design together dictate the aesthetic.

I have photographed hundreds of properties for magazines, designers and directly for private clients.

Some have been luxurious because of the simplicity and authenticity of their design. Others are fortunate to enjoy lavish materials and space. But often what makes residential properties luxurious is simply the quality of design decisions and superb craftsmanship evident in their manufacture.

Whichever aesthetic is relevant I am able to utilise my expertise in architectural, interior and drone photography to precisely tailor the imagery to the unique requirements of the location.
